Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (CFCL) today reported 81 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 146.32 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, on account of higher sales.
The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 80.79 crore in the year-ago period.
Net sales during April-June period of current financial year rose to Rs 2439.08 crore from Rs 1993.47 crore in the same period during 2014-15 fiscal, as per company's BSE filing.

The company had also entered into Business Purchase Agreement on June 30, with Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd for sale of its textile division.
Shares of the company were today trading at Rs 70.65 apiece on BSE, up 12.32 per cent.
