Six persons were arrested and over 12 kg of charas (a form of cannabis) worth Rs 1.80 crore was seized in separate operations in Rajkot, Ahmedabad and Petlad in Gujarat Sunday and Monday, officials said.
Director of the Ahmedabad zonal office of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Hariom Gandhi said the bureau was looking for a charas supplier following some recent drug seizures.
Shakeel, the alleged supplier, was held here Sunday and 4 kg of charas was seized from his car, Gandhi said.
"He said he had also supplied charas to Rajkot. We shared the information with local police who arrested four men there Monday and seized 8 kg of charas," the NCB official said.
"Shakeel also said that the charas seized from his possession was to be supplied to someone in Petlad in Anand district. We interrogated a person in Petlad who had been arrested in a drug case earlier, following which his wife was arrested in the present case," Gandhi said.

Those arrested from Jungleshwar in Rajkot Sunday were identified as Mahboob Theba, Iliyas Sora, Javed Dal and Rafique Memon, said Rajkot police commissioner Manoj Agrawal.
The woman arrested in Petlad was identified as Hanifa Bibi.
All the accused were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Officials said that Shakeel's name had come up during the interrogation of Iqbal Ibrahim who was held on August 2 with 12 kg of charas at Shamlaji in Sabarkantha district.
