Chhattisgarh economy to grow by 8.5 per cent in FY13

Chhattisgarh is expected to record a growth of 8.5 per cent in FY13 against 8.14 per cent growth recorded in the previous fiscal, according to the Economic Survey tabled in the assembly today.
According to the survey, the services sector is likely to grow by 12.06 per cent this fiscal against 10.72 per cent in 2011-12 while industry in the mineral rich state is estimated to register a growth of 6.74 per cent in 2012-13 against a growth of 7.08 per cent in the previous fiscal.
The agriculture production, however, would be rising by 5.48 per cent in 2012-13 against a minus growth in 2011-12.
 
The per capita net income of Chhattisgarh, at current prices, is estimated at Rs 52,689 in 2012/13, an increase of about 13 per cent, against Rs 46,743 in 2011-12.
As per the survey report, the state's growth has surpassed the National average in all sectors.
