At least two labourers were buried alive and scores of others trapped today as a bauxite mine collapsed in Bihar's Nawada district, police said.
The mishap took place as the bauxite mine caved in while over a dozen labourers were digging out the natural mineral, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Md Sharfuddin said.
While at least two labourers were buried alive, scores of others were trapped under the debris, he said.
The district police and civil officials are on the spot to supervise ongoing rescue operations, Sharfuddin said.
