CID arrests 5 from Gayeshpur

CID today arrested five persons from a house at Goyeshpur under Kalyani police Station limits in Nadia district.

Acting on information, CID raided the house and arrested the five, a senior officer of CID told PTI.

Six one-shooter guns, one DBBL gun, two 27.65 mm pistols, one 19 mm pistol, 37 socket bombs besides 30 rounds of 8 mm, 9 mm and 7.5 mm bullets were seized from the house during the raid, he said.

"We are looking into whether they were running a manufacturing unit there or not. Their links to any inter-state gang are also probed. We've started interrogating them," he said.
