Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone for Pattiseema lift irrigation project tomorrow.
"The project will solve water woes of the parched Rayalaseema region bringing respite for farmers. Over 3,000 tmc ft of flood water draining into the sea from Godavari will be diverted to solve the water needs of Rayalaseema," a state government statement said.
It quoted the chief minister as saying that it is a prestigious project for his government.
