Cold conditions persist in HP

Cold-wave conditions persisted in most parts of Himachal Pradesh today, even as the minimum temperatures rose marginally.
The region had a windy and cloudy day and the local MeT office has predicted rains or snow at isolated places tomorrow, as a fresh western disturbances lie over the Himalayan region.
Minimum temperatures rose marginally with Keylong and Kalpa recording a low of - 1.8 degrees Celsius and 0.4 degree Celsius respectively, followed by Bhuntar (2 degrees Celsius), Manali (2.8 degrees Celsius), Shimla (5.8) and Dharamshala (7.2 degrees Celsius).
Maximum temperatures decreased by few notches with Una recording the highest temperatures (25.2 degrees Celsius), followed by Kangra (22.4 degrees Celsius), Bilaspur (21.2 degrees Celsius), Shimla and Manali (21.4 degrees Celsius each).
