Cold morning in Delhi, fog affects north-bound train services

People in Delhi woke up to a cold morning as the minimum temperature settled at 6.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, while the city witnessed shallow fog in the morning which affected north-bound train services.

According to a senior railway ministry official, till 6 am, 10 north-bound trains were cancelled, 19 were running late while three were rescheduled.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal, while humidity levels oscillated between 91 and 30 per cent, an MeT department official said.

The weatherman has forecast partially overcast conditions for tomorrow with a possibility of mist and shallow fog in the morning.
 

Maximum and minimum temperatures tomorrow are likely to hover around 23 degrees Celsius and nine degrees Celsius respectively.

Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 9 degrees Celsius while the maximum settled at 23.7 degrees Celsius.
