Winter season is phasing out in Rajasthan as temperature picked an upward trend today giving respite to people from cold weather.

Except for Churu and Sriganganagar which recorded the lowest temperature of 9.8 and 9.9 degrees Celsius, the night temperature was above 10.2 degrees Celsius everywhere, a MeT report said.

Kota, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Jaipur recorded the minimum temperature (during night) in the range of 13 and 18 degrees Celsius last night, about 5 degrees above normal.

Mercury has risen by one to three degree Celsius during night at most places giving a big sigh of relief to people from cold weather.

Whereas, the days are getting warmer every day in the state with the maximum temperature ranging between 28 and 33 degrees Celsius in north-west of Rajasthan.

A local western disturbance has approached the state since morning, and there is possibility of a squall or dust storm in western Rajasthan in the next 24 hours, a forecast said.
