Cong protests 'dictatorship' of NDA government

Congress workers here today staged a sit-in here to protest the "dictatorship" of the BJP-led NDA government.

The demonstration was held at the Kamala Cinema square with protestors raising banners and posters alleging "devaluation of basic principles of the Constitution" by the central government.

While some posters called for "protection of democratic values in the country", others displayed that the protest was "against the dictatorship of the NDA government".

Former Nagpur MP Vilas Muttemwar, former state ministers Satish Chaturvedi, Nitin Raut, Nagpur Pradesh Congress Committee chief Vikas Thakre, Umesh Choube, Haribhau Naik, Abhijeet Wanjari among others were present during the protest.
 

The workers were joined by the freedom fighters and workers from the factions of Republican Party of India.
