Cop commits suicide in Udhampur

A police head constable allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Head Constable Mushtaq Ahmed fired at himself with his AK rifle last night at Police Lines in Udhampur and was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead, officials said today.

Cause of the suicide is being investigated, they said.
