Copra eases on sluggish demand

In restricted activity, copra prices eased by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale dry fruits market here today owing to slackened demand against adequate stocks position.

However, other dry fruits moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

In the national capital, copra eased by Rs 100 to Rs 21,400-24,400 per quintal.

Almond (California) Rs 18,200 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.

Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 635-655 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg.
