Copra recovers on renewed demand

Copra office Alappuzha, copra office Kozhikode, copra edible Mumbai and copra Rajapur Mumbai recovered at the spices market here today owing to renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

Black pepper ended mixed owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Meanwhile, ginger unbleached eased due to poor offtake from stockists and retailers.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai rebounded by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 16,500 from last Wednesday's close Rs 16,000 and copra edible Mumbai gained by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 13,800 as against Rs 13,500 previously.

Copra office Alappuzha and copra office Kozhikode climbed by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 12,200 and Rs 12,000 as compared Rs 12,000 and Rs 11,800 previously.
 

Black pepper quoted at Rs 411/491 per kg.

However, ginger unbleached edged down by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 131 as against Rs 135 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 411/491 (411/491), ginger unbleached (per kg) 131 (135), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 12,200 (12,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 12,000 (11,800), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 16,500 (16,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,800 (13,500).
