Wholesale prices of coriander and jeera drifted up to Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today largely due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists at existing levels.
Weakening trend at futures market also put pressure on spice prices.
Coriander prices drifted by Rs 300 to finish at Rs 11,000-16,000 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 14,300-14,800 and Rs 17,500-18,000 per quintal.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists at higher levels against sufficient stocks mainly pulled down coriander and jeera prices.

Ajwain (per kg) Rs 170-280, black pepper (per kg) Rs 725-900, betel-nut (kg) Rs 280-330, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) Rs 1,700-1,750 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) Rs 1,800-1,900.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar Rs 850-920, cardamom (colour robin) Rs 800-850, cardamom bold Rs 810-870, cardamom extra (bold) Rs 1,000-1,030 and cloves Rs 850-900.
