Press Trust of India New Delhi
Turmeric and jeera prices drifted up to Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today largely due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists at existing levels.

Weakening trend in futures market also put pressure on the spice prices.

Turmeric prices eased by Rs 200 to finish at Rs 9,000-13,600 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also drifted by Rs 300 each to conclude at Rs 14,300-14,800 and Rs 17,500-18,000 per quintal.

Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists at higher levels against sufficent stocks, mainly pulled down turmeric and jeera prices.
