A cache of arms and explosives were recovered during a search operation by the CRPF personnel near Jhumra hills in Bokaro district.
Ten rifles, 14 carbines, six grenades, three revolvers, four bombs, five electronic detonators and other articles stuffed in an iron box and buried near Aman village of the district in the forest of Jhumra hills were recovered, CRPF IG (Jharkhand) R K Mishra told reporters here.
Acting on a tip-off about Maoist movement in the area, Mishra said the CRPF under the leadership of Commandant Sanjay Kumar launched the operation yesterday and recovered the box.
