A 29-year-old daily
wage-earner today jumped to death from Swarnarekha river bridge in Mango area of East Singhbhum district.
Sushil Das, a resident of Daiguttu under Mango police station area here, rushed out of his home and jumped from the river bridge following an altercation with his wife over a family issue, police said.
Das, an alcoholic according to friends, fell on a rock in the river and declared brought dead at the M G M Hospital.
Sources said the couple had a quarrel last night as well as today morning repotedly over Das's drinking habit despite the financial hardship.
