Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das termed the opposition-sponsored statewide bandh today as a "failure" as the people made it clear that they favoured the amendment to the Chhotanagpur Tenancy Act (CNT) and Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act (SPT).
Describing the opposition bandh as an "irresponsible" act, an official release quoting Das said even the Jharkhand High Court had expressed its "dissatisfaction" at the bandh.
The chief minister said the amendment was in the interest of the tribals.
