As part of its efforts to reach out to underprivileged children, Delhi Government organised a "summer camp" here in collaboration with the Aga Khan Foundation, officials said today.
A camp was organised in a municipal school in Nizamuddin Basti in Delhi from May 13 to May 30 in collaboration with Agha Khan Foundation and Bal Bhawan as part of Nizamuddin Basti Renewal Initiatives to provide underprivileged children with opportunities for learning and development, Director, Women and Child Department, Saumya Gupta said.
"Forty eight children in the age group of 3 to 6 years from three anganwadi centres of ICDS Nizamuddin participated in a variety of activities like art, music and theatre.
"At the end of the camp a closing ceremony was organised, where work done by children from local community was showcased," Gupta said in a statement.
