Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister P K Dhumal has urged Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to provide sufficient funds for expansion of rail network in the state.
According to a BJP statement, Dhumal, the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, met Jaitley in Delhi today.
He said the Union government has give in-principle approval to the Bhanupali-Bilaspur-Mandi-Manali-Leh line.

Dhumal also rued slow progress of construction Nangal-Una-Talwara Rail line and said even after laying of foundation stone in 1974, funds were not provided and the project is hanging fire and urged him to provide Rs 500 crore, besides funding the Chandigarh-Baddi rail project which is of vital importance for industrial development of the state.
Dhumal also met BJP President Amit Shah in connection with his visit to Solan tomorrow and apprised him of the political situation in the state.
