A doctor was today saved by his colleague when he tried to end his life by hanging himself in a room at the government hospital here, police said.
The doctor tried to commit suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in a room of the Sadar hospital, but his colleague unknowingly entered the room and pulled him down promptly.
The physician sustained injuries on his neck and was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
He made the suicide bid apparently due to family problems, police said, adding that an investigation has been initiated.
