Encephalitis claims life in Bankura

A 34-year-old man died of encephalitis in the Bankura Medical College and Hospital here, a hospital official said.

Asif Mal (34), who was admitted to the hospital on Monday last with symptoms of fever, vomiting and acute headache, died yesterday, Hospital Superintendent Panchanan Kundu said.

With this, four persons have died of encephalitis in the hospital in the past three months, he said.
