Press Trust of India New Delhi
A former Jammu and Kashmir police constable and two others have been arrested for allegedly confining a doctor, making his obscene video and demanding money, besides robbing him of cash and valuables, police said today.

Sandeep, employed in Jammu and Kashmir police force as a head constable in 2010 and who claims to be a national level shooter, was arrested along with Rahul and Siddharth on a complaint by doctor Ranjeet Verma, police said.

A senior official of the crime branch said Verma had alleged that on January 28, Rahul had called him on the pretext of some work after which he and two of his associates had confined him and demanded a huge amount.

"When Verma had resisted, the trio had made his vulgar video with the help of their laptop. They had taken his credit card, withdrawn Rs 16,000 and also robbed him of his valuables," police said, adding that later, the trio had asked for money in exchange of his video.

The accused were also involved in child trafficking, police said. "One accused was wanted in a case related to selling of a minor as a bride in Haryana," they said.

The laptop containing video of the doctor was also recovered, they said.

Sandeep claimed that he has represented Jammu and Kashmir police in shooting events and he is a shooter in 10 meters and 25 meters category. He also claimed to have represented India in shooting championship in Singapore in 2010 and 2011, the official said.
