Khajuri Khas police station received a complaint from the relatives of Gupta, a shopkeeper, that he was kidnapped and a ransom of Rs one lakh was being demanded, on the night of July 12, he said.

It was also learnt by the police that the kidnappers had threatened that they had made a CD of victim in objectionable position with a woman and would trap him in a rape case.

An FIR was registered in connection with kidnapping and ransom demand and police teams were formed to catch the extortionists, the officer said.
