Farmer strangled, hanged from tree in UP

A 55-year-old farmer was allegedly strangulated and later hanged from a tree by unidentified persons in Bhawanipur village here, police said today.

The body of the farmer, identified as Kamlesh Dixit, was yesterday afternoon found hanging from a tree after which his family members alleged that he was strangulated and hanged by some unknown persons, police said.

Police is probing the incident.

However, no arrests have so far been made in this connection.
