Fire in restaurant; no casualty

A fire broke out at a restaurant in a market in Sector 50 here today, fire department officials said.

However, no casualty has been reported so far.

Short circuit was the cause of fire and goods worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in it, Fire Station Officer Sushil Yadav said.

The fire broke out at Khidmat Restaurant at Central Market in Sector 50 following which five fire tenders were pressed into service which took two hours to douse the flames, Yadav said.

Some customers who were inside the restaurant were taken out safely.
