Fisherman dies after falling from boat

A fisherman of nearby Thangachimadam died today after accidentally falling off the boat in the sea off this coast.

The fisherman had gone for fishing along with some fellow fishermen early this morning. He fell into the sea while fishing, Sub Inspector of Marine police said.

Efforts by other fishermen in the boat failed to save him. His body was brought to the shore, he said.
