Truck driver killed, 8 Kanwariyas injured in road mishap

One person was killed and eight Kanwariyas were seriously injured when a speeding truck hit a bus near Kauwadhar village here, police said today.

The incident took place last night in Mehdawal area when the bus in which Kanwariyas were travelling was hit by the truck, resulting in the death of truck driver Nandlal (31), Superintendent of Police, Deepak Kumar said.

The body was sent for post-mortem and the eight injured were admitted to a hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable, police said.
