Five labourers killed, 1 injured as mound of earth caves in

Five labourers were killed while another injured when a mound of mud caved in at Alambagh area here today.

Rajendra (35), Suresh (40), Niranjan (50), Chairaya (18) and Sriram (40) were killed in the mishap, police said.

Indrapal, who was injured in the mishap, was rushed to Balrampur hospital.

The six labourers were digging a huge mound of earth for mud when it caved in on them at Buchari ground trapping them inside, police said.
