Found absent, 12 govt officials suspended

Over 12 government officials were placed under suspension for remaining absent from duty unauthorisedly in south Kashmir's Kulgam district today, an official spokesman said.
A team, headed by an Additional District Magistrate, conducted a surprise visit to various offices in the district and found 15 employees absent without any authorisation, he said.
The absentees, including five teachers of a government school, were placed under suspension, the spokesman said.
