Seven persons were arrested here for allegedly looting goods worth Rs 53.25 lakh from a pharmaceutical company's godown, the police said today.
The gang was arrested by the Narpoli police station, Bhiwandi yesterday in connection with the loot last week and have been booked under Section 395 (dacoity), 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy) and other relevant sections of the IPC, senior police inspector Kalwa police station R D Malekar said.
The same gang members were involved in an alleged attack on a police patrolling team here last month under the Kalwa police station limits, he said.

According to police, the arrested persons were identified as Saleem Fateh Mohammad Ansari, Amzad Ali Bismillah Khan, Irfan Khan, Riaz Salauddin Ansari, Shafique Safiullah Chowdhary, Asfaque Safi Mohamad Khan and Drupraj Mourya.
The police has recovered the stock of medicines and also copper and iron scrap worth Rs 17 lakhs, which the gang had stolen from Nala Sopara area in Thane, police said.
The accused will be transferred to the Kalwa police station in connection with the attack on police personnel case on June 17, they said.
