Director Paul Feig, who has been facing flak on social media from some ardent "Ghostbusters" fans for making an all-women reboot, has finally given it back calling them misogynists.

The 53-year-old filmmaker gave a tough response to a Twitter user, who is unhappy about the female version of "Ghostbusters" franchise.

"You've been ranting at me and my cast for months with misogyny and insults. So go f*** yourself. Goodnight. #enough" Feig tweeted.

"Then you should embrace a new generation getting their own version. GB is a positive force. Your negativity isn't," he continued.

The reboot will star Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the ghost-fighting troupe, and Chris Hemsworth as their receptionist.

Actress Sigourney Weaver will also return for a cameo appearance.

The film is slated for July, 2016 release.
