A teenaged girl and her father were today electrocuted when they came in contact with a live wire at Bamunpukur under Nabadwip police station in Nadia district, police said.
Following a storm last evening, the girl went to collect mangoes from a garden early in the morning but came in contact with a live wire which apparently snapped during the storm.
Her father rushed to save her and he too was electrocuted.
They both died on spot, police said.
The uncle of the girl who also tried to rescue them got injured. He was admitted to hospital.
