The body of a girl was
found in a ditch under mysterious circumstances, the police said today.
According to police officers, the girl allegedly fled from her house at Majorati village under Haiborgaon police station on Tuesday night after she was beaten by her alcoholic father Uttam Bora.
The Police recovered the body from yesterday.
This morning, neighbours gathered at her house and attacked her father accusing of being responsible for the death of the girl.
The girl has been identified as Rashmi Bora, a High School Leaving Certificate candidate.
An investigation was going on to find the culprit, the officers said.
