Infant girl's body found in drainage

Body of an infant girl was found dumped in a drainage canal at Korutla town in Karimnagar district today, police said.

The body wrapped in a gunny bag was spotted by sanitation workers while cleaning the drainage, said sub-inspector K.Jayesh Reddy of Korutla town police station.

Police suspect that the infant could have been murdered by its mother.
