A girl studying B Tech allegedly committed suicide in the hostel room of JNTU college at Kondagattu in Jagtial district, nearly 40 km from here, in the early hours of today, said police.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Ch Sreelaxmi (19) of Rebbavaram village in Wyra mandal of Khammam district.
"She was found hanging from the ceiling in the college hostel room this morning," police said.
The reason of her suicide is not yet known, said police.
Probe is on, police added.
