The GJM will hold a meeting with the Trinamool Congress regarding rural polls in the Dooars, Morcha supremo Bimal Gurung said today.

"Regarding the upcoming panchayat elections at Dooars the party will hold talks with the TMC," Gurung said here.

He, however, did not elaborate if the talks would be centring on share of seats with the Trinamool in the three-tier panchayat polls.

The GJM leaders, including Gurung, would be heading for the Dooars after June 17, the last date of withdrawal.

"The GJM has formed an alliance with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for the sharing of seats in the Dooars poll," Gurung said and asserted that relations with the splinter faction of Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikash Parishad lead by its leader John Barla is the same as earlier.

"Maybe the ABAVP faction led by John Barla is in alliance with the TMC within the town area of Dooars but this has nothing to do with our relation with the leaders and the faction," Gurung added.

Gurung said more than 400 candidates of the GJM have filed their nominations for all the three-tier panchayat seats at Doors.
