Godman found murdered in Ashram in UP

A 65-year-old godman was today found murdered in his Ashram in Biharigarh police station area here, police said today.

Body of Kaliram was today found lying in a pool of blood by some locals in Baba Gorakhnath's Ashram, Additional Superintendent of Police (rural) Jagdish Sharma said.

Prima facie the victim was beaten to death by unidentified persons, he said.

The Godman used to live alone in the Ashram for last several years, he said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, the ASP said, adding that an investigation is underway in the matter.
