Gold worth Rs 1.25 crore seized

Over three kg of gold, valued at Rs 1.25 crore, was today seized from a person who arrived at the airport here from Dubai, officials said.

Customs officials found the man carrying 3.25 kg gold in his suitcase, they said, adding, he has been detained for questioning.

Meanwhile, an unclaimed bag at the airport created a flutter. It was immediately removed by security officials, including bomb detection and disposal squad.

On examining it, officials found some clothes and a shawl, they added.
