Gold worth Rs 30 lakh seized

Over 900 gms of gold valuing worth Rs 30 lakh was seized today by the custom officials from a passenger who arrived here from Malaysia.

37-year-old Mohammed Farook from Ilayangudi in Sivaganga District was detained by customs officials after they found 904 grams of gold kept concealed in a speaker set carried by him on his arrival from Kuala Lumpur by a Malasyian airlines flight this morning, airport sources said.
