Governor, leaders extend Meelad-ud-Nabi greetings

: Tamil Nadu K Governor K Rosaiah and a host of other leaders in Tamil Nadu today extended their Meelad-un-Nabi greetings.

"On the holy occasion of Meelad-Un-Nabi, I convey my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all my Muslim brethern."

The life of Prophet Mohammed is a message to all of us. Let us live up to his ideals and promote unity, peace and harmony," Rosaiah said in a Raj Bhavan statement.

DMK President M Karunanidhi said Prophet Mohammed led a life of virtue. In a statement, he also recalled that it was the DMK government under him in 1969 which first declared a holiday for Meelad-un-nabi.
 

DMDK founder Vijayakant, MDMK leader Vaiko and PMK's S Ramadoss also extedned their greetings.
