The Left Front and the BJP today submitted separate memoranda on violence-hit villages in Birbhum district to West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi, who said he would forward it to the Centre.
"I have received their memorandums and I will forward it to the central government," Tripathi told reporters when asked about the law and order situation in the state.
He, however, refused to comment on alleged police atrocities, saying, "No, I will not speak about it".

On whether he would seek a report from the state government on the issue, he said, "Let me see. I am not going to disclose anything."
At a function here, the Governor formally inaugurated the renovated campus of the 70-year-old Kolkata Press Club.
Highlighting the role of the Fourth Estate, he said media acts as a university for the poor man.
