The state government has sanctioned 102 posts for the collectorate office of the newly formed Palghar district.
The district falls under the category of medium district.
According to the government resolution issued on July 31, government has sanctioned 102 posts on provisional basis, which are likely to be made permanent later.

The posts sanctioned are one post for collector, one additional collector, two deputy collectors, one tehasildar, four nayab tehasildar, 29 clerks and 24 peons.
A total of 3,020 staff of the Thane district rural police has been transferred to Palghar district rural police.
It includes one additional SP, six deputy SP, 22 inspector, 48 assistant police inspector, 121 sub-inspector, 1,348 constables. Around 175 police vehicles, 304 Wireless sets and 1,048 arms have also been transferred to the new district, it said.
