Gram dal price increases; moong dal, sugar decline

Barring increase in price of gram dal, prices of moong dal and sugar declined and that of all other commodities ruled steady during the week ended today in the wholesale foodgrains market here.

The gram dal price increased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 3,900 from its previous rate of Rs 3,800 and maintained the same rate till close.

Moong dal opened at Rs 9,500, a decrease of Rs 100 per quintal from its closing rate of Rs 9,600 and finished the week at its opening rate.

Sugar marginally declined by Rs.20 per quintal on its opening day at Rs 2,850 and remained at the same price till the close of this week.
 

Tur dal (Rs 7,000), urad al (Rs 7,400), wheat (Rs 2,500), maida (90 kg) (Rs 2500) and sooji (90 kg) (Rs 2600) ruled steady throughout the week.
