Green NGO Chintan gets French govt award

Delhi-based green NGO Chintan has won a French government award for its commitment to human rights and environment.
Chintan's Director Bharati Chaturvedi accepted the Human Rights Special Mention Award of the French Republic from Francois Richier, Ambassador of France to India, a release said.
The NGO works for environmental justice in partnership with people and groups from diverse sections of the society.
Its focus is on ensuring equitable and sustainable production and consumption of materials and improved disposal of waste.
