Groundnutoil prices advanced for the seventh straight session at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following firm demand from stockists and retailers amid lower arrivals from producing region.
While, refined palmolein edged down due to mild offtake from retailers.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also dropped further owing to reduced demand from soap and shippers industries.
Elsewhere, linseed oil ruled steady in absence of any large-scale buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnutoil climbed by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,400 from Monday's close Rs 1,390 but refined palmolein softened by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 551 as against Rs 553 yesterday.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseed bold declined by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 3,300 as compared Rs 3,325 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 690 from Rs 695 previously.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,180/10 kg.
