Groundnut oil prices rose Rs 50 per quintal today in restricted activity in the wholesale oil and oilseed market due to increased offtake by retailers against tight supplies from producing belts.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said increased demand from retailers amid restricted arrivals mainly led to the uptick in groundnut oil prices.
