Groundnut oil prices tumbled at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on subdued demand from stockists and retailers amid heavy supplies.
Elsewhere, refined palmolein also slipped due to lower demand from retailers.
Among the non-edibles, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial renewed demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil ruled steady in the absence of any buying activity.
In the edible section, groundnut oil declined by Rs 60 per 10kg to Rs 810 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 870 and refined palmolein edged down by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 476 as against Rs 478 yesterday.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 40 per 100kg to Rs 4,190 from Rs 4,150 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 8 per 10kg to Rs 868 as against Rs 860 yesterday.
Linseed oil prices were unchanged at Rs 860 per 10kg.
