Gur falls in Delhi, up in Muzaffarnagar, Muradnagar

Gur prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today following slackness in demand amid adequate stocks position.

On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets prices rose by Rs 150 per quintal on better offtake and reduced arrivals.

Marketmen said thin demand from retailers mainly pulled down gur prices in delhi, while fall in supply from manufacturing areas amid pick up in demand from stockists, pushed up gur prices at Muradnagar and Muzaffarnagar.

In Delhi, gur Dhayya prices slided by Rs 100 to at Rs 2,900-3,000 per quintal, while Pedi dropped by Rs 50 at Rs 2,850-2,950 per quintal.
 

In Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku prices shot up from Rs 2,450-2,700 to conclude at Rs 2,600-2,750, showing a profit of Rs 150 per quintal.

At Muradnagar, gur Pedi and Dhayya prices spurted by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 2,500-2,550 and Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.

The following are today's quotations per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,700-2,800, pedi 2,850-2,950, dhayya 2,900-3,000 and shakkar 3,200-3,300.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,300-2,350, chakku 2,600-2,750 khurpa 2,400-2,450 and Ladoo 2,550-2,750.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,500-2,550 and dhayya 2,550-2,600.
