HIV-positive inmate dies during treatment
An HIV-positive inmate, who was admitted to a district hospital for stomach ache and breathing trouble has died, officials said today.
24-year-old Rahul was referred to MMG hospital here from Dasna jail yesterday, Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) Jitender Kumar Tyagi said.
He complained of stomach ache and breathing trouble, Tyagi said, adding that he succumbed during treatment.
An autopsy was conducted by Dr R B Singh in the presence of a gazetted officer today, the official said, adding that the procedure was video-graphed.
